Rotated Images

Reported by: scobb@gls.com Assigned to: decoder
Priority: major Milestone: Stable Release Version 4.0
Component: Image Analysis Version: SVN
Keywords: rotated images Cc:

Description

I have started seeing some messages slip through in which the spammer(s) rotate the image 6~8 degress to avoid detection.

To test if the detection is feasible, I have loaded the image into an editor, rotated the image and then even autocropped it and ran the resulting image through FuzzyOcr?. With that minor correction, FuzzyOCR picked up the text just fine.

I don't know if there are any tools that can automate rotating an image and so FuzzyOcr? can give it multiple passes, but it seems like it might be worth investigating.
